Suggesting Team Rules Changes

Top  Previous  Next

The rules by which your Co-operative team operates can be changed at any time but only by a majority vote of all the families in the team.

The process of making a change is quite straightforward and starts with you reviewing the existing rules and changing them in the way that you think is best for the team.

Suggesting New Rules

1.        Start by selecting My Team / Suggest Rule changes.  This creates a copy of the existing rules that you can change in any way you like.

2.        You can then change the template rules to adjust the basic rules, add or remove services, change the number of points per hour, etc.  The example below is changing the Starting Points.

Use the Comments section to explain why you want to changes the rules.

3.        When you are happy with the changes you have made you put them to the vote by the rest of the families in your team.  When you do this all of the members of the team will be sent an email alerting them that you would like to change the rules.  They are then able to go in an vote on the rule changes.

By the way when you put your new rules to the vote you are automatically assigned a Yes vote for your family.

Erasing the Rule Template

You can also erase the rule template that you have made.  This doesn't impact the rules in the team.  It just deletes the rule template and any changes that you have made.

Voting Outcomes

There are three outcomes to the team voting process:

1.        Your suggestion is accepted: As soon as the majority of the team has voted in favour of your rule changes that will become the new rules for the team.

2.        Your suggestion is rejected: As soon as the majority of the team has voted against your rule changes they will be rejected and the vote will be stopped.  But your rule template will be kept and you can make further changes and re-submit your changes to the team.

3.        You decide to withdraw your rule change suggestions.  At any time you can withdraw your rule suggestions from the team vote.  When you do this your rule template will be kept and you can make further changes and re-submit your changes to the team.
