Points

The basis for the HelpingHero Team is the earning and spending of points for undertaking different tasks.  As you perform services for others or have others perform services for you, you will transact in points rather than money.

Making changes to points rates

Co-operative Teams: Use the “Suggest New Rules” page on the site to make changes.

Volunteer Teams: Team Owners can nominate which team roles are able to make changes to the point rates.

Point Rates

Different services can cost different points per hour but they do not have to.  The number of points a service "costs" depends on two factors.  Both of these factors can be adjusted for your team.

By Service Type

This section outlines the number of points you will earn or it will cost you for different services. All services are compared to babysitting in terms of the number of points that they earn. So if service has a rating of 2 that means that you earn/it will cost half as many points per hour as babysitting.

By day of week and time of day

This table shows you the point rates that apply at different times of the day or week.
