As a team member you can determine which service you would like to offer the team.  You do not have to offer all services to each team.  This area shows you the status of each service that you are offering.  It also allows you to offer / withdraw your offer to provide a service.

Edit

This is the name of the service.

This tick-box indicates whether you are offering this service to the team.

For Volunteer teams the Team Owner can specify that before you can offer a service you need to be approved by the Team Owner, or their delegate.

Most often this is used for services that require some form of certification or training before you can perform the service, e.g. life guard, working with children check, etc.

If approval is required this box will be checked.

For services that require approval you must first request approval from the team owner or their designate.

This column indicates whether you have previously requested approval on this service.

To change your offered status for a service just select the Edit link.

Approval Required

For services that do not require approval once you click on the offer check-box you will be automatically approved to perform the service.

Approval not required

For services that require approval your request will be sent to the Team Owner, and their designates.  When they approve your request you will receive an email confirmation.

Related Volunteer Organisation (Volunteer Teams only)

Each Volunteer team can be associated with a Volunteer Organisation.  This area indicates that status of a link (if any) to a volunteer organisation.  Clicking on the link will give you some more information about the related volunteer organisation.

If you are the Team Owner for this team then you will also see information related to applying to volunteer organisations or breaking the link with a volunteer organisation.

Team Rules (Co-Operative Teams only)

There are some rules that apply only to Co-operative team.  They can be changed by majority vote of the team members at the My Team / Suggest Rule Changes menu item.

Description

Maximum Families in Team

This is the maximum number of families that are allowed to be in this team.

Accept Sick Children

Where babysitting is performed in this team, do members have to accept sick children.

Starting Points

When a new family joins the team how many points are the awarded.

Max Points per Family

What is the maximum number of points that one family is allowed to accrue.  After they reach this point they will no longer be able to be invited to perform services.

Min Points to book service

What is the minimum number of points a family must have in order to be able to request a service.

Open For New Members

Does this team appear in the public search system.  Members can still invite new members but the team will not receive any applications from external members.

Number Vouching

How many members much vouch for a team member applicant before they can be accepted.  This only applies to members applying from the public search facility.

Points- By Service Type

Performing a service earns your family Hero Points.  Each service can earn a different number of Hero Points per hour.  Many teams keep theses values at 1 hero point to 1 service point but if you wish you can vary this ratio by service type.

Changing points by service type:

Co-operative teams: If you want to change this value for your co-operative team you must use the My Team / Suggest Rule Changes link.  There you will be able to suggest changes to the number of points per hour for different service types and then have those suggestions voted on by the other team members.  When a majority of your team members vote for the change it will b accepted by the system.

Volunteer Teams: To change the point per service type for volunteer teams you must be either a Team Owner or approved by the team owner to make the changes.  If you have the authority to make the changes then you will see an "Edit" and "Add" link has been added to the data (see below).

Selecting the "Edit" link allows you to change the ratio of points to Hero Points, Active Service status and also  the "Approval Required" status of each service.  De-selecting the "Active Service" status removes this service type from use by the team.  These changes will be implemented immediately.

Selecting the "Add" link allows you to add new service types to the team.  This change will be implemented immediately.

Points - By day of week/time of day

Your team also has the opportunity to vary the number of points that will be applied for different times of the day and days of the week.  So for instance Friday nights may be worth more points than Monday afternoons.

Changing points by day of week/time of day:
